PSC 309 - The American Judiciary1 course unit This course examines the nature and function of law as well as the organization of the American court systems and the legal process. Consideration given to developing students’ understanding of the role of the law in American society, the organization of state and federal judicial systems, the civil and criminal court processes, and judicial decision-making and policy-making process. Prerequisite(s): PSC 101 Introduction to American National Government .
