ARH 227 - Museums: Art, Politics, and Ethics Course unit(s): 1 The course will establish a historical, theoretical, and practical context for the study of museums as institutions in terms of cultural relevance, educational significance, and financial accountability and sustainability. Museums reflect current cultural concerns. Case studies will consider historical precedent, cultural expression, administrative control, curatorial prerogative, educational theory, and community identity.
