Degrees and Certification
Muhlenberg offers two degree programs: the undergraduate Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) . Students receive only one of the bachelor’s degrees, regardless of the majors or minors completed, though an additional major or two may be added.
Majors leading to a B.A. degree include accounting, American studies, anthropology, art history, art studio, business administration, dance, economics, English, film studies, finance, French and Francophone studies, history, international studies, Jewish studies, media and communication, music, philosophy, philosophy/political thought, political economy and public policy, political science, psychology, public health, religion studies, Russian studies, sociology, sustainability studies, Spanish, and theatre.
Majors leading to a B.S. degree include biochemistry, biology, chemistry, computer science, environmental science, mathematics, neuroscience, physical science, and physics.

The College also offers fully accredited programs leading to certification in primary (Pre-K-4), intermediate (4-8), and secondary (7-12) education. Students must complete a major in an academic discipline together with the requirements for certification.
