The economic analysis of international trade, immigration, and foreign direct investment. Topics in trade include the underlying basis of trade and the effects of trade, trade barriers, and trade agreements on national welfare and the distribution of income. The focus of the analysis of immigration and foreign direct investment is on national welfare and the distribution of income. Public policy implications are emphasized.
