Neuroscience, leading to a B.S. degree

Major Requirements
To declare and be retained as a neuroscience major, a student must maintain a 2.00 grade point average based on all required neuroscience, biology, chemistry, mathematics, philosophy, and psychology courses.
Required Courses:
Neuroscience majors complete 15 courses in 6 discrete categories:
Four (4) core courses in neuroscience:
Six (6) cognate courses in the sciences
(Note: Students satisfy some of the graduate entrance requirements for medicine, the allied health professions, and doctoral programs in the natural sciences in cognate coursework. Students interested in these graduate outcomes will also need to complete a year of organic chemistry and a year of introductory physics.)
One (1) course in mathematical or computational perspectives
(Note: Students are required to take one of the following courses even if they have placed out of Calculus I, Calculus II, or Statistical Analysis by Advanced Placement or an equivalent college credit/placement)
One (1) course in philosophical perspectives on mind, brain & world
One (1) 200-level elective in neuroscience in context
Two (2) 300-level electives in neuroscience
