Programs of Study


Degrees and Certification

Muhlenberg offers two degree programs: the undergraduate Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) . Students receive only one of the bachelor’s degrees, regardless of the majors or minors completed, though an additional major or two may be added.

Majors leading to a B.A. degree include accounting, American studies, anthropology, art history, art studio, business administration, dance, economics, English, English & Creative Writing, film studies, finance, French and Francophone studies, French Language, history, international studies, Jewish studies, media and communication, music, philosophy, philosophy/political thought, political economy and public policy, political science, psychology, public health, religion studies, Russian studies, sociology, Spanish, sustainability studies, and theatre. 

Majors leading to a B.S. degree include biochemistry, biology, chemistry, computer science, environmental science, mathematics, neuroscience, physical science, and physics.

The College also offers fully accredited programs leading to certification in primary (Pre-K-4), intermediate (4-8), and secondary (7-12) education.  Students must complete a major in an academic discipline together with the requirements for certification.
