PSC 333 - Comparitive Studies of Contentious Politics

Prerequisite(s):PSC 103 Introduction to Comparative Politics & International Relations, IST 101 Introduction to International Studies or SOC 101 Introduction to Sociology This course provides students with an overview of the major debates and theoretical approaches developed within the comparative analysis of contentious politics and social movement studies, engages students in the analysis of contentious politics and social movement activism in a variety of countries and contexts, and asks students to apply these insights in order to conduct research on a non-American social movement or episode of contentious politics of interest to the student.
