MBS 350 - Integrative Seminar Course unit(s): 1 Prerequisite(s): Muhlenberg Scholars FYS and Foundations of Scholarship The 1-unit integrative seminar for the Muhlenberg Scholars is offered once every spring by a Muhlenberg faculty member; to be taken as early as spring of sophomore year, but more commonly taken in spring of junior year for those not studying abroad. Students engage in collaborative, interdisciplinary learning on the seminar’s main theme, controversy, or topic. After jointly studying some foundational work in the seminar’s main subject area, students form integrative research teams and explore diverse sub-areas of the seminar’s theme. Teams lead discussions, complete a group project, and present their findings to other classmates. Students are required to keep e-portfolios to track their project’s progress.
