Course unit(s):1 Meets GAR: Meets general academic requirement AR. Prerequisite(s):ENG 221 - Introduction to Poetry Writing or ENG 245, 246 Poetry & the Imaginative Process An intensive course in the craft of poetry. Poets will comment on each other’s work in a workshop setting. The problem of poetic form and its relation to the tradition and the issue of the self and self expression will be explored in terms of linguistic theory, poetic tradition, and poetics. The course will culminate in a portfolio submission.
