ENG 340, 341 - European Novel in Translation1 course unit
A study in the development of the modern European novel that ranges from the groundbreaking work of such nineteenth century writers as Balzac, Flaubert, and Dostoyevsky to the later formal experiments of twentieth century authors like Kafka, Duras, and Kundera.
