BIO 270 - Ecology1 course unit Ecology is the study of the interactions between organisms and their environment at the individual, community, and ecosystem levels of organization. Terrestrial and aquatic ecology and plant and animal studies are discussed. A major emphasis of the course is experimental design and analysis, including statistical analyses and presenting results. Most laboratories are outside; one required weekend field trip. Prerequisite(s): BIO 151 Principles of Biology II: Cells & Organisms .
