This course will engage students in a structured dialogue format to explore intergroup and intragroup differences and similarities within historical and contemporary contexts. This unique experiential learning opportunity offers practical tools for effective communication across domains of difference - careful listening, offering and receiving feedback, nonverbal messaging - using social justice and equity-centered dialogic methodologies. Upon successful completion of the course, students will:

● Develop interpersonal communication and group facilitation skills fundamental to effectively engaging issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion within organizations and communities.

● Understand the framework of structured, sustained dialogues across social, cultural, and political differences within small group settings.
