French and Francophone Studies Major Requirements
To declare a major in French and Francophone Studies a student must have a grade point average of at least 2.00 in FRN 203 Intermediate French I and FRN 204 Intermediate French II , or demonstrate an equivalent mastery of the language. Majors in French and Francophone Studies complete nine courses beyond the Intermediate I course, including: Culminating Undergraduate Experience
All French and Francophon Studies majors need to complete a Culminating Undergraduate Experience in one of the following three formats: - FRN 490 - CUE: French Research Project Course unit(s): 0.5
- Special Topic: CUE Seminar (1 course unit-counts toward the four required 400-level courses)
- Research project embedded in a 400-level course in the student’s senior year
