French and Francophone Studies Major Requirements
To declare a major in French and Francophone Studies a student must have a grade point average of at least 2.00 in the first FRN language course they take at Muhlenberg.
Students in the French and Francophone Studies Major complete nine course units, starting with the FRN course in which they place. This must include a 300-level Topics in French and Francophone Studies and a minimum of two 300-level courses in French.
Culminating Undergraduate Experience
All French and Francophone Studies majors need to complete a Culminating Undergraduate Experience in one of the following three formats:

Students must maintain at least a 2.00 grade point average in all courses required for the major.
Students in the French and Francophone Studies Major track may take 300-level electives in English from a previously approved list of courses. Where applicable, they will have a discussion section in French and/or include readings and writing assignments in French.
