BIO 460 - CUE: Behavioral Ecology1 course unit Behavioral ecology is the study of how behavior is influenced by natural selection. The major theories of behavioral ecology of sexual selection, kin section, honesty and deceit, and game theory are applied to gain understanding of the adaptive value of the social behavior of animals, including humans. Emphasis is placed on reading, discussing, and writing on case studies in the primary literature. Three class hours per week. Prerequisite(s): Any two biology courses from List A, B, or C.
