MUS 313 - Form & Analysis1 course unit A study of musical forms from the smallest units of sectional forms (motive, phrase) through binary, ternary, rondo, and sonata forms. Analysis of music of all common-practice periods embodying various structural principles and incorporating historical context and performance implications. Extensive analysis and listening; may include reading and writing assignments. Prerequisite(s): MUS 211 - Music Theory III .
