1 course unit A study of the relationship between ostensibly literary writing and popular entertainment (movies, rock-and-roll, TV, etc.) and of the sometimes competitive, sometimes symbiotic relationship between literary practice and popular cultures. Meets departmental Transformations approach. Meets general academic requirement HU (and W when offered as 270).
