BCM 441 - CUE: Advanced Biochemistry1 course unit An advanced, lecture based Culminating Undergraduate Experience that takes a mechanistic perspective on enzymology, enzymopathy, and bioinformatics within cellular metabolism. While studying the central concept of metabolism, students learn to evaluate original research articles and apply the findings to biochemical problems. Topics also include the relevance and application of cellular metabolism to medicine and biotechnology. Three hours lecture per week. Prerequisite(s): BIO 220 Biochemistry and CHM 202 Organic Chemistry II or CHM 204, 206 Organic Chemistry IIA .
