1 course unit A survey of the forms and images of religion in the Indian subcontinent, concentrating on Hinduism and Buddhism. The religious spirit, ancient and modern, will be examined through a study of mythological, scriptural, historical, cultural, and artistic phenomena. Meets general academic requirement HU and DE.
