MTH 119 - Statistical Analysis

1 course unit

Designed for all students interested in learning to summarize and analyze data. Topics include exploratory data analysis, sampling distributions, simulation, bootstrapping, randomization distributions, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, regression analysis, sampling procedures, experimental design, analysis of variance, and chi-square analysis. R with Rstudio is introduced for statistical computing and analyzing real-world data. Students may not receive credit for MTH 104 Statistical Thinking after taking MTH 119 Statistical Analysis.
Prerequisite(s): 3.5 years of high school mathematics.
