EDU 565 - Educational Research Course unit(s): 1 This course will introduce students to educational research. The purpose of this course is for students to learn how to use the knowledge generated from research in education (from multiple disciplinary and epistemological perspectives) to solve problems of practice. Topics covered will include epistemological paradigms; research design; and critically reading both quantitative and qualitative research articles. In covering these topics, the course will focus on the interpretation of educational research and the application of findings to address questions and concerns related to programs, curricula, instructional practice, assessment, educational opportunity, and academic achievement in public education.
