MOL 532 - Nonprofit Marketing, Philanthropy, and Public Engagement

Nonprofit organizations need favorable public messaging and communication and contributed income to support their operations. Successful marketing, fundraising, relationship building, and public presence are important areas of nonprofit leadership responsibility. Marketing activities show the public face of nonprofits and help them achieve their revenue and outreach goals. This course addresses the strategies and methods nonprofits use to reach customers, volunteers, and donors with targeted and supportive information. A second major focus is raising revenue from contributions from private and public sources, including grant writing, planned giving, and annual fundraising, and advocacy. The course shows how marketing and fundraising activities support overall strategy and program service delivery.
