MOL 530 - Nonprofit Leadership and Governance

This course addresses the evolving roles of nonprofit organizations in society, showing their historic origins, and underlying theoretical frameworks and rationales. Students examine the challenges confronting nonprofit entrepreneurs and leaders, using a holistic leadership approach to consider areas of strategic management, Board governance practice and responsibility, including financial oversight, strategic planning, executive oversight, and public accountability. The course shows how overall strategy integrates programmatic, marketing, and financial management requirements of nonprofit action.
