FRC 306 - Topics in French and Francophone Studies: The Black Diaspora Course unit(s): 1 Meets Explore Core requirement (students beginning Fall 2024 and later): IC Meets requirement: W Prerequisite(s): FRC 204 Intermediate French II This course offers students an in-depth review of French language while introducing them to the histories and cultures of the French-speaking Black diaspora. In particular, this course allows students to refine their knowledge of the French language while gaining insight into the social structures, politics, literatures, arts, and economies of the French Caribbean, Haiti, francophone Europe, and North America. Offered in Fall. Taught in French.
