This course offers students an in-depth review of French language while introducing them to the histories and cultures of the French-speaking North and Sub-Saharan Africa. In particular, this course allows students to refine their knowledge of the French language while gaining insight into the social structures, politics, literatures, arts, and economies of the francophone West and Central Africa and the Maghreb (Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia). Taught in French.
