PHL 234 - Philosophy of Religion1 course unit An examination of the nature of religion, the meaning of religious claims, and the justification of religious beliefs. The views of both religious adherents and critics will be studied. Primary focus will be on the twentieth century writings in the attempt to explore the possibilities of intellectually responsible religious commitment in the contemporary world. Meets general academic requirement P and effective Fall 2013 HU.
